Roman Senecký is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Mondi Štětí a.s. He graduated from the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Chomutov and then from the University of Mining and Metallurgy – Technical University in Ostrava, specifically the Faculty of Finance. At the age of 35 he was appointed President of Mondi SCP a.s., located in Ružomberok, Slovakia.

In a company with 1,600 employees and a turnover of EUR 500 million, he managed to increase productivity by 50%, win four PPI Awards worldwide, achieve 85% employee satisfaction, and complete capex projects worth approximately EUR 220 million.

At Mondi Štětí, he successfully implemented the EcoFlex and the EcoVantage projects worth EUR 445 million and reorganized the company. These steps have led to an increase in production by around 30% and a 20% growth in productivity and profitability. The team has gained confidence and is pursuing further business growth opportunities in the order of hundreds of millions of euros.

Roman Senecky is, among other things, a co-author of the book “Business Basics”, which won the 2010 Book of the Year Award. In 2014, Roman was among the Top Six CEOs in the paper industry in the RISI Global Awards. He cares deeply about workplace safety, environmental friendliness, community support and, last but not least, the personal growth of his co-workers.
