Rod Sowden is the managing director of Aspire Europe and is an experienced programme management registered consultant with a number of successful consulting and delivery assignments behind him that have left organisations with sustainable change.
Rod has been a pioneer of Managing Successful Programmes (MSP®), having been involved since the launch in 1999. He was appointed lead author by the OGC for the 2007 version and 2011 refresh and is also the Cabinet Office P3M3® lead author. Rod has subsequently written survival guides for the business change managers, senior responsible owners and programme managers as well as having numerous articles published in his expert field. An adaptable approach and focus on producing the right result for the Customer has enabled him to move between sectors and disciplines.

Since the release of P3M3 in 2008, hundreds of organisations have been assessed using the framework. The lead author and designer of the model is Rod Sowden and over the years, Aspire Europe have probably been the biggest supplier of assessments across the world, with work in Europe, Australasia, China, Africa and the Middle East.
We will look at the experiences of organisations that have are high performers and how they achieved this, the common obstacles organisations face when looking to improve performance and how these can be avoided.
