David Svoboda is a former member of the Czech national team in modern pentathlon and a multiple medallist at the European Championships, World Championships and World Cups. He also competed at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. His greatest achievements include winning a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics, two silver medals in individual events at the World Championships and the title of European Champion.
Since 2017, he has been the modern pentathlon coach at ASC Dukla and his charges are multiple Czech national champions and members of the national teams of youth and junior categories. His current most successful charge is Lucie Hlaváčková, who at the age of 18 reached the Top 10 at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
He is also a former chairman of the Commission of the Czech Olympic Committee, a former member of the Executive Committee of the Czech Olympic Committee and the ČSMP, and is involved in projects focusing on children’s and youth sports.
MUDr. Jaroslav Větvička is an experienced physician specializing in sports medicine. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Hradec Králové in 1983, he worked as a doctor for the cyclists of Dukla Prague and the Czechoslovak national team. He also headed the Laboratory of Clinical Biochemistry and Physiology at the Institute of Sports Medicine and later the Department of Stress Medicine at the General University Hospital in Prague. From 2000 to 2013 he was the chairman of the medical commission of the Czech Olympic Committee and chief physician of the Czech Olympic team at eight Olympic Games. In 2000, he founded the Centre for Medical Support of the Sports Team at the Central Military Hospital in Prague, which he still heads today.
Hockey trainer, coach, manager and author of many books. He has been involved in sports psychology and coaching for more than 35 years. He uses his many years of experience to lecture not only in associations and clubs across all sports, but also in companies in various fields.
Among his greatest coaching achievements in hockey he counts the gold medal from the 2005 World Championship, 2× title with HC Sparta Praha and the President’s Cup with HC Plzeň.
Individually, he cooperates with managers and top athletes (currently, for example, with Karolína Plíšková, Petr Mrázek, Tereza Bledá and other Olympians; he is also a former long-time coach of Jaromír Jágr).
