Roman Senecký

Roman Senecký is currently the COO of Mondi Kraft Paper, which includes four European pulp and paper mills and global sales of approximately EUR 1.4 billion per year. Roman graduated from the Secondary Industrial School of Electrical Engineering in Chomutov and subsequently from the University of Mining and Metallurgy – Technical University in Ostrava, specifically the Faculty of Finance. At the age of 35, he was appointed President of Mondi SCP a.s., located in Ružomberok, Slovakia.

In a company with 1,600 employees and a turnover of EUR 500 million, he managed to increase productivity by 50 %, win four PPI Awards worldwide, achieve 85% employee satisfaction and implement investments worth approximately EUR 220 million.

At Mondi Štětí, he successfully implemented projects worth EUR 450 million and reorganised the company. These steps led to an increase in production of around 30 %. His teams are now implementing two more major projects worth more than EUR 600 million.

Roman is, among other things, co-author of the book “Základy podnikání”, which won the Book of the Year Award 2010. Based on nominations from his teams, he has twice been nominated among the top six CEOs in the paper industry in the RISI Global Awards. He cares deeply about workplace safety, environmental friendliness, community support, and last but not least, the personal growth of his co-workers.

His personal motto is “Helping people achieve goals they dare not set for themselves”.
