Petr Borkovec

Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Partners Banka, a.s.

He began his career in finance in 2000 in academia at Mendel University in Brno, where he taught courses such as Financial Markets, Capital Markets, Stock Exchanges and Securities, and International Finance. He remained at the university until 2008 while simultaneously working as an independent financial advisor. In 2007, together with Radim Lukeš, he founded the financial advisory company Partners Financial Services. As one of the Partners, he served as Director of Distribution and a member of the Board of Directors until 2012. Since 2012, he has been leading the Partners Financial Group (later renamed Partners HoldCo), where he contributed to the establishment of Partners Investment Company, Simplea Insurance Company, Rentea Pension Company, the real estate fund Trigea, and in 2023, the founding and launch of Partners Bank. Between 2019 and 2023, he completed executive education programs at London Business School, IMD Business School in Lausanne, and Babson College in Boston. He is currently focused on expanding the group into European markets — so far, the group operates in Slovakia, Romania, and Poland.
