From startup to a profitably growing company

When Param acquired Twisto two years ago, it inherited a company full of energy, built on classic startup DNA – fast moving, creative and bold. But like many start-ups, Twisto also came with its share of growing pains – limited structure, minimal documentation, and no clear path to profitability.

As CEO, Nemika Menevse stepped into a complex task: introducing structure and operational discipline, while adapting the nuances of Czech work culture, where open dialogue and direct feedback don’t always come naturally.

In just eighteen months, Twisto began to turn a corner – reaching positive financial milestones, launching expansion into Romania, and laying the foundation for long-term growth. But this journey is not only about numbers and KPIs. It is a story of people, trust and cultural adaptation. Of learning to lead transformation not just with strategy, but with patience, empathy and persistence.

So what did the road from start up chaos to sustainable business really look like? What were the turning points? And what lessons emerged along the way? And perhaps most importantly – is Twisto’s transformation complete, or is the most exciting chapter still to come?
