Project Management Standards in Public Administration: Next Steps and Innovations

The workshop is intended for public administration employees and conference participants who are actively interested in the quality and development of project management in the public sector. It will take place in a lounge with a limited capacity of 20 participants. Once the capacity is reached, access will be closed.

The aim of the workshop is not only to briefly introduce the new project management standards developed by the working group led by the Ministry of Regional Development, but above all to discuss specific possibilities for their implementation, training, dissemination within organizational structures, and competence development. Together with facilitators Radmila Outlá (Ministry of Regional Development) and Michal Korf (Project Management Chamber), participants will actively collect and prioritize ideas for improving project management in public administration.

The workshop will provide space for sharing experiences, identifying challenges and opportunities within public administration, with the goal of developing a concrete action plan for advancing standards and supporting professional project management.

More information about the standards can be found on the Ministry of Regional Development website: https://mmr.gov.cz/cs/microsites/standardy-projektoveho-rizeni/spr

Birds of Feathers – Connecting PMO Leaders

Nowhere else you will meet such a large group of PMO leaders, for whom a specially tailored program has been prepared at this year’s conference.

The first day will kick off with a trio of PMO practitioners (Michal Korf, Petr Lev, and Martin Slažanský), who, during a 2-hour interactive Bird of Feathers workshop, will work together with the entire group of PMO leaders to create a list of concrete steps on how to develop a PMO based on the current maturity level of their organizations.

They will be followed by Dawid Świątkiewicz, who will showcase how he aligned his PMO with the organization’s values, thereby strengthening both its strategic and cultural cohesion.

On the second day, no one should miss Obi Omoregie’s talk, in which he will present how his PMO approaches change management in the construction of the largest nuclear power plant on the Arabian Peninsula.
